Life on Mars
Posted By Prophecy in Ethics and Morals, UncategorizedRecently, there is renewed interest in life on Mars not just by the scientific community but the local earthlings.
I personally think it would be good to find out whether or not there is life out there and then to try to connect with them. The main reason being that we could learn so much from them. No doubt they would be more inteligent than us and could teach us a thing or two on how to preserve our resources, trees, atmosphere etc.
However, I wonder if some of the billions that we are spending on researching the outer-space might not be better spent right here on earth. Have we already exhausted our research into who we are or how to better ourselves?
Say we do find life out there. Who would we have as our “model” citizens to represent us? We can all think of at least a handful of individuals but really, would a handful of people be a true reflection of the billions of other residents?
So what do I what us to do? Well I think that every single one of us has room for improvement.
We need to try to do good. Teach our children to do good. Teach our parents to do good; they are not as set in their ways as we think. They are more intelligent and reasonable then you think.
Here are just a few ways that we can all help (ourselves):
Get rid of your big old cars, start composting, stop your pesticide use, plant a tree, stop supporting genetically modified foods, and ….smile. Smiles are contagious. Don’t take my word for it, try it for yourself.
I am assuming (by the fact that you are seeking out this type of website) that you are already on the right track , so you are already more intelligent than you give yourself credit for. But really, you don’t need me to tell you the right from wrong just as you don’t really need a religious figurehead. We all instinctively know. Try that for yourself too. The next time you are about to make a decision on something that you are not sure about, remind yourself of what you read here, stop and ask yourself:
“Am I making the right decision? Which way should I go?”
Hopefully, you will hear it (your inner truth). Usually a good, satisfying, sense of peace comes right after you have made your choice.
This feeling could last the rest of your life, you’ll see.
