The recent war in Afghanistan deemed as “the War on Terror” has been going on for nearly a decade.

There are at least two ongoing debates surrounding it.

1. Can we afford either the human or financial cost of it?

2. So how do we come to an agreement?

Majority of the troops’ families want them back, but not all of the taxpayers nor the troops themselves want that.

So, do we only deploy those soldiers who want to go? Do we hold a referendum to see what percentage of the citizens (including the armed forces) believe we should continue our participation in this war?

Do we just let it be till such time that we literally run out of money? Will our money not be better spent here, in-light of the recent and increasing government handouts?

The conflict between Israel & Palestine has been going on for fifty years now. They each get a significant portion of their funding via the expatriates.

 Fifty years of battle has left many dead and many others around the globe somewhat desensitized to the whole fight between the two. So neither side is gaining any sympathy anymore. Sure there is better news coverage now than say even twenty years ago but more and more people are tuning-out now.

Does anyone even know what started it all? What do they want now?
